At Sea

17th March 2012

Today is St Patrick’s Day and there is a bit of an appropriate theme around the boat, although it is low key. The seas are back to being relatively calm and we are seeing more oil rigs, some quite close.

It is a pretty relaxed day for us, attending an interesting talk on Anwar Ibrahim, this morning, and after mahjong and lunch, we went to a destination briefing on Hong Kong. It was packed out , but there really wasn’t anything in the presentation that we were unaware of. There is another one in a day or two, covering more information apparently.

At 12 noon we were 75nm off the coast of Sarawak heading in a NE direction towards Kota Kinabalu.
There was a predinner show on at 6.30pm, which was very entertaining and tonight’s  dinner included the best steak I have had in quite a while.

The steward is still producing different animals from towels. Here is todays’ contribution.
